Maintenance


1. Daily Maintenance

TaskDescription
Visual InspectionCheck for oil leaks, loose bolts, damaged components, or unusual wear on dies and guides.
Lubrication CheckEnsure all moving parts are properly lubricated (guide ways, roller die slides, spindle bearings).
Clean Dies & Work AreaRemove metal dust, debris, or residual lubricant from dies and work zone to prevent contamination.
Check Hydraulic SystemInspect hydraulic fluid levels and look for signs of leakage or overheating.
Die AlignmentConfirm that both stationary and movable dies are correctly aligned before starting operations.

2. Weekly Maintenance

Lubrication System ServicingTop up or replace lubricants as per manufacturer specifications. Clean filters and check pump pressure.
Hydraulic Fluid Quality CheckTest for contamination or degradation; change if necessary.
Die Surface InspectionExamine roller dies for wear, chipping, or scoring. Replace if damage affects thread/gear profile quality.
Tighten FastenersRe-torque critical bolts, especially those securing the die holders and base frame.
Machine Base CleaningWipe down and clean the machine base to avoid accumulation of swarf or coolant residue.

3. Monthly Maintenance

Full Lubrication System FlushDrain and flush the system; refill with recommended lubricant.
Spindle & Bearing InspectionCheck spindle rotation smoothness and bearing play. Replace worn bearings if needed.
Control Panel InspectionDust off PLC/HMI panel, inspect wiring for looseness or heat damage, and verify emergency stop function.
Alignment CalibrationUse precision gauges to realign roller dies and ensure correct engagement angle (90° feeding path).
Safety Guarding CheckEnsure all guards, interlocks, and safety devices are functioning properly.

Coolant/Lubricant System MaintenanceIf used, clean and sanitize coolant reservoirs, check spray nozzles, and test flow rates.

5. Annual Maintenance (Major Service)
